Registration is more than just filling in forms; it is the stage that officially secures your space in the programme you have been accepted into. To make the process simple and stress-free, it is important to know what documents and information are required before heading to the campus or logging in online.
EWC asks all students, whether new or returning, to come prepared with valid supporting documents. New applicants usually need to provide a certified copy of their South African ID or birth certificate, proof of residence, and their most recent academic records, such as Grade 9, Grade 12 results, or equivalent qualifications, depending on the course. Returning students must also confirm their student number and may need to present any updated records.
Apart from personal and academic documents, financial information plays a big role in registration. This includes proof of payment for fees or confirmation of approved funding from NSFAS or another sponsor. Without this, your registration cannot be finalized. By gathering all the necessary documents beforehand, you save time and avoid unnecessary delays during the registration period. Documents required for EWC 2026 registration
All students must submit or have the following available on registration:
- An original/certified copy of the latest school report / Senior Certificate, or the highest certificate or results.
- An original/certified copy of the identity document/affidavit and photograph in case of/lost identity document/birth certificate.
- Deposit / necessary fees.
- Accompanied by money for textbooks, kits, stationery, and learning material (where applicable).
- Preferably accompanied by a parent/guardian if under 18.
- Proof of residential address and relevant contact details.
Foreign Certificates
Students must have these certificates examined by SAQA at either SAQA House, 1007 Arcadia Street, Hatfield, Pretoria, or Postnet Suite 248, Private Bag X06, Waterkloof 0145.

Bursaries
Students who have excelled in their field of study throughout the previous year, semester, or trimester at EWC are given merit bursaries. Students enrolled at EWC who are in need of financial assistance are given need-based bursaries.
- A nominated staff member and the Student Support Officer evaluate all the applications of students requesting financial support to further their studies.
- All names of qualifying students are submitted to Campus Management for final approval via the Student Support Officer.
- Requirements for application for indigent bursaries are available from the Student Support Officer on each Campus.
DHET FET Colleges Bursary Scheme
Students who registered in NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4 in 2013 and reported 191 Courses in 2014 will be eligible for DHET FET bursaries.
The following students may apply:
- Only South African citizens.
- Students wishing to enroll in Report 191 Nated Courses and NC(V) programs.
- Students who need financial assistance.
- Students who excel academically.
- NC(V) Levels 2/3 students who were awarded bursaries in 2014 and will be promoted to Levels 3/4 in 2015.
- Students who were awarded bursaries for NC(V) Levels 2/3 in 2014 but will not be promoted to Levels 3/4 in 2015 will not be eligible for bursaries in 2015.
The following documents must be submitted with the bursary application form, which the College will give, to be considered for an award:
- Three certified copies of the student’s ID.
- Two certified copies of the parents’ / guardians’ certified ID.
- The latest original or certified copies of the parents’ / guardians’ pay slips.
- Affidavits from parents/guardians if they are unemployed.
- Proof of death if parents/guardians are deceased.
- Proof of residential address.

DHET Bursaries Are Not Guaranteed
These bursaries are administered and awarded according to established procedures.
A Financial Aid Committee has been established to examine submitted applications and offer recommendations.
