Ekurhuleni West Technical, Vocational, Education and Training College (EWC) is a public institution established under the Further Education and Training Act No. 98 of 1998 and governed by the FET Colleges Act No. 16 of 2006, as amended. The college was officially declared by the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education in Gauteng Province through a Provincial Gazette Extraordinary issued on 7 December 2001. Since then, Ekurhuleni West TVET College has been dedicated to providing quality education and training that equips students with the practical and theoretical skills needed for successful careers.
The college is located within the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality in Gauteng Province, South Africa. EWC TVET Colleges Application Requirements
Before applying, all qualifying candidates who wish to attend College at Pretoria must confirm that they possess the following documents:
- A unique/valid Email address and cellphone number
- 3 certified copies of the ID of the Parent/Legal Guardian
- 3 certified copies of the ID of the Learner
- South African applicants will need an ID number. Foreign applicants will need their passport numbers.
- Copy of your school qualifications (eg Senior Certificate)
- A certified copy of your latest results/Grade 9 or Higher;
- Proof of Residence.
Foreign students

- SAQA-approved foreign qualifications
- Proof of medical insurance or cover
- Valid study permit

- Complete the Pre-Entry Placement Test
Before starting your application, complete the Pre-Entry Placement Test online. This assessment helps determine your readiness and ensures you are placed in a suitable program. Keep your login details safe for future access.
- Register and Submit Your Application
After finishing the placement test, return to the EWC website, click on “Online Applications,” create an account, and complete the application form. Upload certified copies of your ID, latest results, and proof of residence, then submit your application.
- Wait for Feedback
Once submitted, EWC will review your application and notify you by email or SMS about your admission status. If accepted, follow the instructions provided to complete your registration.
