How To Apply Online For SWGC Distance Learning Courses
Follow this simple step-by-step guide to apply online for the distance learning courses offered at at South West Gauteng TVET College (SWGC):
- Open the SWGC online application portal
Visit the SWGC applications page or student portal. The college uses the online application/iEnabler system. Look for a button or link labelled New Application or Apply Online.
- Create your account and set a PIN
Click New Application and fill in your biographic details carefully. New students must create a new PIN, while returning students may be given a temporary one, which should be updated. Keep your PIN and student number safe.
- Read and accept the application rules
Click View Application Rules or Code of Conduct and select I Accept to continue. You cannot move forward without accepting the rules.
- Enter school leaving subjects and results
Use the Enter School Leaving Subjects function to add your subjects and marks. The system will calculate admission points automatically. Upload a certified copy of your National Senior Certificate or your latest results.
- Upload supporting documents
In the Load/View Documents section, upload all required certified documents in PDF format. Ensure copies are clear and valid.
- Enter previous qualifications (if any)
If you have completed another qualification, add the details under Enter Previous Qualifications and upload the certified certificate and subject breakdown.
- Choose your programme and study preference
Click Submit Application, search for your preferred course, and review its details. Select your study mode and save your choice.
- Accept and submit your application
Click Accept Application. The system will confirm submission and provide you with an application reference number. Keep this number for future use.
- Track your application status
Use the Process Status link on the portal to track your progress. SWGC will verify your documents and communicate the outcome via SMS or email.
- Complete online registration if accepted
Once approved, log back into the portal to register online. Select your subjects, accept the registration rules, and print your proof of registration or proof of costs.
