Northlink College’s Parow Campus has launched a new Primary Health programme which is a three-year program that is part of the National Certificate (Vocational)/NC(V) general studies sector (Level 2-4). The primary goal of this course is to promote improved health and health awareness among all participants. The courses cover the fundamentals of health care. Primary Health is a course designed for students who want to pursue a career in community-based primary health. The certification comprises both academic and practical experience, which will be gained through simulation and the practical world or real-world experience. Northlink College offers bursaries for the study of this course. The primary health course provides students with a wide range of job opportunities after studies; Below is a list of job opportunities available after the study of primary health at Northlink College;

Subjects Involved In The Study Of Primary Health (Curriculum)

The entire course comprises 21 subjects (7 on each level), including three fundamental subjects, three core subjects, and one elective.

Northlink College Nursing Courses Admission Requirements 2026

  • Grade 9 Certificate or equivalent is required of applicants

Northlink College Application Requirements

The following documentation is required of applicants during application;

  • Proof of residential address and relevant contact details
  • Money for kits, stationery and learning material (where applicable)
  • Preferably accompanied by a parent/guardian if under 18
  • Foreign students must have their certificates evaluated by SAQA.
  • Foreign Applicants must have a valid study permit until the end of the relevant study period.
  • Copy of Certified Passport.
  • Study Permit or Visa to Study in South Africa.
  • Certificate of Foreign Qualification evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority.
  • Full Course Fee. All International students need to pay their course fee in full upon registration.
