The two primary courses provided by TVET institutes are National Certificate (Vocational) credentials, often known as “Report 191” programs, and National Accredited Technical Education Diploma (NATED) programs. Introduction to All NATED programs are trimester-based, ranging from a National Certificate level 1 (equivalent to an NQF certification level 2) to a National Certificate level 3. The Department of Higher Education and Training operates the College of Cape Town as a public TVET college. The aim of the College is to provide inclusive, high-quality vocational education and training that is market-relevant. The College serves students through eight delivery sites or campuses, the majority of which are located in the central region of the Cape Peninsula. The College offers a variety of programs, including National Certificate Vocational (NCV) Levels 2–4, NATED Report 191 on N1, and NATED Report 191 on N2. The College of Cape Town offers a lot to offer students and potential partners as an alternative to General Education and Training.
