- Any South African citizen who is currently studying or plans on studying at a public TVET College.
- The combined household income of the applicant who has registered at a public institution from the current year or plans to register in the following year for the first time must not exceed R350 000 per annum.
- The combined household income of an applicant who has registered prior to 2018 must not exceed R122 000 per annum.
- The combined household income of persons with disabilities must not exceed R600 000 per annum.

On Campus Residences
Ezakheni [A] Campus: for New and Returning Students; Priority is Given to Returning Students Who Have Passed All Subjects
The following guidelines for appropriate bursary accommodations:
- Only students who study and live more than 50 kilometers from a campus are eligible to apply for an accommodation bursary.
- To avoid infringing the house rules at Ezakheni [A] Campus, parents or legal guardians must accompany students to their required meeting with the Student Resident Administrator.
- NSFAS and College Bursary students are covered by the College after receiving Ezakheni [A] Campus permission (after signing the Ezakheni [A] Campus Student Accommodation Agreement).
- Each student must also pay an R500 key, led light, and breakage deposit. This money is reimbursed after a room inspection and the end of the academic course of study.
- The Ezakheni [A] Campus House Rules are acknowledged.
- Students are required to bring their own dishes and silverware because residences are self-catering facilities.
Private Students
Accommodation is also available for students who do not qualify for a residence bursary. These students are to contact Ezakheni [A] Campus Student Accommodation in their private capacity.
Certificate To Be Awarded After Completing Ladysmith campus

Refunds will only be considered in the following circumstances (The registration fee is not refundable)
- Death of the student (Pro-rata repayment)
- Illness (Confirmed by a medical certificate – Pro-rate payment)
- Transfer to another educational institution (confirmed by institution – Pro-rata payment)
- Class/programme is full
- De-registration of NC(V) student before March
- Work responsibilities (written confirmation by employer)
Refunds will not be issued when
- Before submitting the complaint to the Department of Higher Education, the student decides not to complete the course and fails to communicate their decision in writing to the professor or campus manager.
- The student receives a bursary but must still complete their coursework in the subsequent semester, quarter, or year.
- The business or study trust paid the students’ tuition.
- Books from NC(V) are not returned.
- Use of an outdated “Request to Edit Coltech” form, incorrectly completed copies, or unsigned copies
Within one week of the start of classes, as noted on the year planner, programs must be canceled in writing. Students will be responsible for paying the entire amount of the tuition costs if they fail to accomplish this. NC(V) students’ textbooks, safety gear, and other supplies are nonrefundable and returnable.
