Coastal Tvet College (KZN) is a pioneering centre of excellence, serving the socio-economic needs of a diverse community, with world-class education and training, leading to lifelong learning. With such a great vision, the college finds it more enthusiastic to open its doors to new applicants who will like to effect a change in their academics and lives as a whole every academic year. For this cause, the management of Coastal Tvet College has announced that, from the 1st of September, the application window for 2023/2024 academics will be open to prospective students and by the 30th of September, applications will be closing.
The college provides quality pioneering education and training for the upliftment of the broader community, by offering diverse programmes, providing an effective student support system and optimally utilizing relevant resources. This College is well known for catering to adult learners, unemployed and employed by local industry, out-of-school youth, project linked trainees ranging from learners with a low academic background to those who have had opportunities to enhance their educational level.
Many are students who face financial difficulty especially when it comes to higher education, in this wise the college has made it possible for students to be able to apply for bursaries such as Nsfas to help them pay for their educational expenses. Students who do not qualify for financial aid, (NSFAS) must pay a minimum deposit of R2 000 of the course fees on the date of registration, followed by instalments to be completed before the final examination.

The application period for 2023/2024 will be open beginning on September 1 and ending on September 30. The application form can be downloaded from the college’s website, filled out with all the necessary documentation, and then submitted online through the application portal or in person or at any of the college’s campuses.

National Certificate Vocational (NCV):
The National Certificate Vocational (NCV) is a new and modern qualification offered at FET Colleges since January 2007. It is offered at Levels 2, 3 and 4 of the National Qualifications Framework which is equivalent to Grades 10, 11 and 12.

Nated (Report 191)
NATED programmes are delivered under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training and quality assured by Umalusi. These programmes are offered in both Engineering and Business Studies. Engineering is offered as trimester courses (3 months per level) and Business Studies as semester courses (6 months per level). Coastal Kzn Tvet College Online Application Requirements 2023/2024
All applicants applying for admission into the college must attach the following documents to their applications:
- Latest school results and results from any other educational institution (End year results).
- ID document of Applicant. Similarly, foreign students must provide their certified Passport
- ID document of parent(s) or guardian(s)
- A unique Email address as well as a cellphone number.
- Study Permit. (Only foreign students).

- Proof of payment of your registration fee(compulsory for SA and International applicants)
Certified copy of your ID document(ID document compulsory for SA citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants - Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.

Academically deserving and financially needy students may apply to NSFAS for financial aid. A National Means test determines who qualifies for the bursary.
