King Hintsa TVET College is one of the leading public institutions in the Eastern Cape, known for its commitment to providing quality technical and vocational education. The college operates across five main campuses, namely Teko Campus, Willowvale Campus, Centane Campus, Dutywa Campus, and Msobomvu Campus, strategically located to serve students from various communities in the region. These campuses collectively offer a range of National Certificate Vocational (NCV), Report 191 (NATED), and Skills Development programmes that prepare students for employment and entrepreneurship.
The college was established through the merger of Centane Technical College, Teko Technical College, Willowvale Technical College, and the Idutywa Community College, now operating as the Idutywa Satellite Campus. This merger created a strong and unified institution dedicated to practical training, skills development, and community empowerment.
Situated in the South Eastern Region of the Eastern Cape, King Hintsa TVET College’s Central Administration Office is located along the N2 Mthatha Road in Butterworth, next to the Walter Sisulu University (Butterworth Campus). The campuses are distributed across two local municipalities, Mnquma Local Municipality, where Centane, Teko, and the Admin Centre are located, and Mbashe Local Municipality, which houses Dutywa and HB Tsengwa Campuses.
Each King Hintsa TVET College campus provides a supportive learning environment with modern facilities, experienced lecturers, and a focus on equipping students with hands-on skills for today’s job market.
