King Hintsa Tvet College Campuses
King Hintsa TVET College is one of the reputable public institutions in South Africa, established through the merger of Centane Technical College, Teko Technical College, Willowvale Technical College, and the Idutywa Community College, now known as Idutywa Satellite Campus. This unification has strengthened the college’s capacity to deliver quality technical and vocational education aimed at empowering students with practical and industry-relevant skills.
The college is located in the South Eastern part of the Eastern Cape Province, with its main administrative office situated along the N2 Mthatha Road in Butterworth, next to Walter Sisulu University (Butterworth Campus). King Hintsa TVET College operates within two main local municipalities, offering multiple campuses to ensure education remains accessible to all. The Centane, Teko, and Administration Centre are found in the Mnquma Local Municipality, while the Dutywa and HB Tsengwa campuses are located in the Mbashe Local Municipality. These campuses are spread over a distance of roughly 60 kilometres from each other.
King Hintsa TVET College provides a range of accredited programmes, including National Certificate Vocational (NCV), Report 191 (NATED), and Skills Development courses. Each campus focuses on specific study fields designed to meet the growing demands of the job market. The college continues to play a vital role in producing skilled professionals and contributing to economic and community development across the Eastern Cape region.
