Is Johannesburg City College Registered?
Johannesburg City College is a registered and accredited private education provider that has been dedicated to offering advanced learning opportunities since April 2009. The college was established to address the challenges faced by learners from low-income households while also meeting the growing demand for skills in the job market. To achieve this, Johannesburg City College provides a variety of training options, including short skills programmes, occupational certificates, and formal qualifications that are relevant to both local and international industry needs.
In September 2009, the college introduced distance learning to make education more accessible to students who could not attend classes full-time. By February 2010, demand for face-to-face learning grew, and structured contact sessions were introduced to provide students with personalized support and guidance. Since then, Johannesburg City College has steadily expanded its offerings while keeping dropout rates low, thanks to its innovative teaching methods, such as cumulative learning blocks that help students master their subjects more effectively.
Today, the institution offers a wide range of qualifications, including Certificates, National Certificates, Diplomas, Higher Diplomas, and Degrees. These programmes are designed to equip learners with practical knowledge and skills that open the door to employment opportunities and career growth. Many graduates have gone on to secure well-paying jobs, demonstrating the value and credibility of the education provided. With its focus on accessible, high-quality learning, Johannesburg City College continues to empower students to achieve academic success and thrive in their chosen careers.
