- South African Senior Certificate undergraduate candidates to UCT must have a pass rate of 40% or above on the Higher Grade in English (First or Second Language) at the Senior Certificate level.
- South African NSC undergraduate candidates to UCT must have a rating of 2 (Elementary Achievement, 30-40%) or above in either their home language or their first additional language.
- Current learners at school must make sure that all examination results from Grade 11 until September of grade 12 are submitted.
