Does South Cape College Have Residence?

When choosing a college, one of the most important factors students consider is accommodation. For many, especially those coming from areas outside the campus towns, having access to safe, affordable, and convenient housing can make a huge difference in their academic journey. South Cape College, a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college in South Africa, operates across several campuses.

Unlike some larger universities, South Cape College does not currently offer its own official student residences on campus. This means students need to explore private accommodation options in and around the towns where the campuses are located. Fortunately, many private landlords in areas like George and Mossel Bay cater specifically to student housing, offering everything from single rooms to shared apartments.

While the college does not provide its own residences, support is available. Some campuses assist students in finding suitable nearby accommodation, and there are often student forums or notice boards with listings. It is also important to note that NSFAS funding, for qualifying students, can be used to cover private accommodation costs, though it is important to follow the correct application procedures and meet the requirements.
