Ekurhuleni West TVET College continues to expand its academic offerings with the introduction of the Hospitality course under the NATED Programmes, now available at the Germiston Campus. This exciting programme is designed for students who want to pursue a career in the hospitality and tourism industry, which is one of the fastest-growing sectors in South Africa. The College provides a well-rounded curriculum that blends both theoretical learning and practical training, equipping learners with the skills they need to excel in this dynamic field.
The Hospitality course runs over a period of 18 months, combining 18 months of in-class theoretical study at the college with 18 months of workplace internship. This balanced approach ensures that students gain not only academic knowledge but also the hands-on experience needed to succeed in real-world hospitality environments. Learners will be exposed to a variety of areas, including service quality management, hotel distribution, crisis management in the hotel industry, and health and wellness services.
It is important to note that the College and its campuses reserve the right to adjust programme locations, cancel courses, or offer only those programmes that meet student enrollment requirements. This ensures that resources are effectively allocated while maintaining the quality of education. EWC Hospitality Programme Structure

Admission requirements:
- Grade 9 or higher
- ABET Level 4
- NQF level 1
- To obtain a National Certificate: A total of 7 subjects: 3 Fundamental and 4 Vocational subjects.
Career opportunities: Entry-level employment in a supervisory position in Hotels, Guest Houses, Industrial Kitchens, or entrepreneurial possibilities as Caterers, etc
