The National Certificate Vocational (NCV) is a new and modern qualification offered at FET Colleges since January 2007. It is offered at Levels 2, 3, and 4 of the National Qualifications Framework, which is equivalent to Grades 10, 11, and 12.

NATED programmes are delivered under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training and quality assured by Umalusi. These programmes are offered in both Engineering and Business Studies. Engineering is offered as trimester courses (3 months per level) and Business Studies as semester courses (6 months per level). Coastal Tvet College Online Application Requirements 2026-2027
All applicants applying for admission into the college must attach the following documents to their applications:
- Latest school results and results from any other educational institution (end-of-year results).
- ID document of Applicant. Similarly, foreign students must provide their certified passports
- ID document of parent(s) or guardian(s)
- A unique Email address as well as a cellphone number.
- Study Permit. (Only foreign students).

- Proof of payment of your registration fee(compulsory for SA and International applicants)
Certified copy of your ID document(ID document compulsory for SA citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants - Exam Results: Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.

Academically deserving and financially needy students may apply to NSFAS for financial aid. A National Means test determines who qualifies for the bursary.
