  • Only one fundamental subject can be condoned (reduced pass requirement) by up to 5%. No condonation allowed for vocational subjects.

Further Study and Career:

  • Graduates with an NCV Level 4 certificate can study at universities or universities of technology if they meet entry requirements.
  • Alternatively, they can enter the workforce or start their own business.

NATED (Report 191) Programmes at Maluti TVET College

What is NATED (Report 191)?

  • These programmes are also known as National Technical Diplomas.
  • Offered full-time or part-time in fields like engineering, business, and utility studies.
  • National exams are held twice yearly, in June and November.

Engineering Studies:

  • Levels N1 to N3 cover fundamental engineering skills.
  • After N2, students must complete institutional modular training and workplace practicals.
  • Completing N6 plus 24 months of in-service training allows application for a National Diploma.

Business and Utility Studies:

  • N4 to N6 levels are offered in subjects like Business Management, Marketing, Financial Management, and Hospitality.
  • An 18-month practical work experience allows conversion of the N6 certificate into a National Diploma.
  • Students must achieve at least 40% per subject and have 80% attendance to write exams.
