The South Eastern Region of the Eastern Cape is where you’ll find the King Hintsa TVET College. On N2 Mthatha Road in Butterworth, close to WSU, is where you can find the Central Administration Office (Butterworth campus). The King Hintsa College was created from the merger of the old Centane Technical College, Teko Technical College, H.B. Tsengwa Technical College, and Idutywa Satellite, formerly known as Idutywa Community College.

The college is spread out amongst the two local municipalities, with two campuses—Centane, Teko, and Admin Center—located in Mnquma Local Municipality. Campus locations for HB Tsengwa and Dutywa in the Mbashe Local Municipality. On average, distances between college campuses are around 60 kilometers. The college offers NC (V), Report 191, and Skills Development programs at multiple sites.

It is commonly recognized that King Hintsa College educates adults, out-of-school adolescents, and project-linked trainees, from those with weak academic backgrounds to those who have had the chance to raise their educational level.
