Level 4 FET Certificate – Early childhood development
- Enrolment in November for the following year.
- Credits – Minimum 120
- Duration – Minimum 12 months (1 year)
- Entry Requirements Grade 10
Level 5 National Diploma
- Credits Minimum 240
- Duration Minimum 24 months (2 years)
- Entry Requirements Grade 12
Attend contact classes 3 days (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) a week. Do practical training on Tuesdays and Thursdays at approved pre-school centres and Grade R classes at Primary Schools. Work in groups, sharing knowledge and skills. Use our IT Centre to research ECD-related topics. Learn to apply Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) in the pre-school and Gr. R. Trainers will visit you frequently at your workplace for assessment.

Tshwane South TVET College Admission Requirements
Students applying are to provide the following documents:
- Certified copy of ID/birth certificate.
- Certified copy of senior certificate or equivalent. If still in grade 12, the marks obtained in grade 11, together with the most recent grade 12 marks
- Copy of certified Parent/Guardian’s ID
- An email address as well as a cellphone number.
International Candidates
- Certified copy of passport
- Study permit
- Evaluation certificates from the South African Qualifications Authority.
Tshwane South TVET College Application Process
Step 1.
Choose the course you want to enrol in, then ask about career counselling.
You can apply online or by filling out an application that is available on all of our campuses and at the administrative centre.
Step 2.
Pay a non-refundable registration fee, and ensure that you meet the minimum requirements before applying. Payment details are on the application form. This doesn’t guarantee your admission.
Step 3.
Submit the form to the campus you wish to study at, together with your certified ID copy, latest school results, ID copy of parent/guardian, and proof of payment.
If applying online, you can submit your documents electronically.
Step 4.
Foreign candidates have the responsibility of evaluating their qualifications with SAQA before applying foreign students will be accepted if this is not done.
Step 5.
Once your application has been submitted, the college will inform you if you have been admitted, and you will be required to write a placement test. Thereafter, you are expected to attend classes.
