Does Taletso Have Teaching?

TVET College does not offer teaching qualifications such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or any teacher training programs. Instead, the college focuses on providing career-oriented and work-related courses that prepare students to enter the job market directly after completing their studies. At Taletso, students can choose from a variety of programs offered under National Certificate Vocational (NC(V)) and Report 191 (NATED) in both Engineering and Business Studies. These programs are designed to give learners practical skills and workplace-ready knowledge rather than academic training for teaching.

The college offers specialized courses in fields such as Agriculture, Economic Management, Engineering Studies, Hospitality and Tourism, Information Technology, Office Management, and Social Sciences. Each program is carefully structured to ensure that students gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, which enhances their employability and equips them to succeed in their chosen careers.

While teaching is not part of Taletso’s curriculum, the institution plays a vital role in South Africa’s education system by producing skilled graduates who contribute to various industries. Students interested in becoming teachers would need to pursue their studies at a university that offers formal teaching qualifications.
