Is Rosebank College a Private College?

When considering furthering your education, one of the first things to look into is the type of institution you’re planning to attend. In South Africa, students can choose between public universities, universities of technology, and private colleges. Among the many private institutions gaining popularity is Rosebank College, but what exactly is it, and is it truly a private college?

Yes, Rosebank College is a private higher education institution. It forms part of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), which is the largest registered and accredited private higher education provider in South Africa. This affiliation ensures that the qualifications offered at Rosebank are recognized both locally and internationally, which is a key consideration for students who may want to pursue further studies or careers abroad.

Established over 70 years ago, Rosebank College has built a reputation for offering affordable, career-focused education. It provides a range of qualifications, including Higher Certificates, Diplomas, and Degrees, in fields like business, IT, education, and the arts. Being a private institution means that it operates independently from the government, but it still complies with the standards and regulations set by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), and its qualifications are accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).
