Kathu College offers a wide range of courses that equip all students with fundamental and practical skills to equip them for the workforce and self-employment. The college offers qualifications for Certificate and Diploma courses in Business and Engineering. Completing any of the college qualifications may lead to employment or further study at the university level in your chosen profession. The college strives for academic excellence by being the best campus in the Northern Cape and competing with the best in the country as a whole and also uplifts education in the Northern Cape, by equipping all students with fundamental skills. Kathu College also known as Namaqualand Campus is one of the Campus Northern Cape Rural TVET College which has a student capacity of 580, 27 lecturing staff, 14 support staff and 31 classrooms. Students have the opportunity to qualify for world-class workshops that have been accredited by NAMB and QCTO at Kathu.

Kathu College Admission Requirements
- Pre-Matric Business Studies (NCV) : Minimum: Grade 9 or equivalent required
- Pre-Matric Engineering (NCV) : Minimum: Grade 9 or equivalent required
- Post-Matric Business Studies (Nated) : Minimum: Grade 12 or equivalent
- Post-Matric Engineering (Nated): Minimum: Grade 12 with Maths & Science
