Northlink College Admission Requirements for Pre-Matric Courses
Northlink College accepts students who have successfully passed Grade 9, 10, 11, or 12, depending on the programme. For pre-metric courses, applicants must have at least a Grade 9 certificate or an equivalent qualification.
Students who wish to enrol in Engineering Studies must also have completed an appropriate technical course before admission. In some cases, candidates may need Grade 12 / N3 / Level 4 or equivalent certification to qualify for certain programmes.
Northlink College is a public TVET (Technical and Vocational Education & Training) college in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, Western Cape.
It was formed in 2002 through a merger of several colleges: Wingfield Technical College (including Goodwood, etc.), Tygerberg College (including Parow), Bellville Technical College, and later Protea College; Belhar College was also acquired in 2005.
The college offers many courses: NC(V) levels, N4-N6 Engineering, Business Studies, Certificate & Diploma programs, and occupational training.

Northlink College Admission Requirements
- For post-matric programmes, applicants must have passed Grade 12 / N3 / Level 4 or an equivalent qualification.
- Applicants must use June and September results for early applications.
- For Engineering Studies, matriculants should have passed an appropriate technical subject.
- For admission to the pre-metric programmes, a minimum of a Grade 9 certificate is required.

- Proof of residential address and relevant contact details
- Money for kits, stationery and learning material (where applicable)
- Preferably accompanied by a parent/guardian if under 18
- Foreign students must have their certificates evaluated by SAQA.
- Foreign Applicants must have a valid study permit until the end of the relevant study period.
- Copy of Certified Passport.
- Study Permit or Visa to Study in South Africa.
- Certificate of Foreign Qualification evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority.
- Full Course Fee. All International students need to pay their course fee in full upon registration.

- Select a course from either Pre-Matric Programmes_2023, Occupational Programmes_2023 or Post-Matric Programmes_2023. Part-time studies are also included in the Brochures.
- Review the course and fees policy
- Complete the application
- Provide all the important documents, such as a Valid ID, certified Results or a certificate
- Provide IDs of parents and/or guardians or a death certificate, where applicable
- International students must provide their passports, where applicable
- Your application will be acknowledged via SMS & e-mail.
