In South Africa’s Free State Province, the former Tosa Technical College and the Welkom College combined to establish the Technical Vocational Education and Training school known as Goldfields TVET College. Goldfields College provides three types of qualifications: NATED courses (also known as Report 191 courses), National Certificate Vocational Level 2 – 4, and occupational courses in the form of learnerships and apprenticeships.

1. NCV courses, or National Certificate Vocational courses

The learner will acquire a wide range of theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed in a variety of industries through these courses. The minimum admission requirement is Grade 9, and the learning period typically lasts three years. The following are some of the courses that fall under this category.
