POSITIONS IN ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS

Education Specialist Requirement

A three-year National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) program or an NCV level 4-recognized Hospitality Services (Hotel and Catering) degree or diploma that must include a teaching certification. Having taught for at least three years, preferably in a TVET college. a judge and a judge-in-training (Moderation will serve as a recommendation). comprehensive knowledge of academic grading and moderation guidelines. understanding of the TVET College landscape and pertinent DHET teaching and learning regulations. The capacity to finish tasks on time, even while under pressure. strong negotiation, networking, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation skills. strong conflict resolution, problem-solving, and networking capabilities.

Duties

Participate in the recruitment, registration, and orientation of new students. Facilitating students’ academic and professional development is important. The College Teaching and Learning Plan, the Campus Schedule, and the College’s Quality Management system should all be followed when preparing for and delivering classes. Assessing pupils, keeping track of grades, performing analyses, deciphering data, and taking appropriate corrective action are all part of the education process. Distribute student packs and textbooks more conveniently. Manage and keep track of staff and student attendance. Prepare and present lectures to students in accordance with the departmental plan.

Requirements

A National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or NCV level 4, an Artisan Certificate, and a recognized 3-year Engineering Studies Degree/Diploma, which must contain a teacher’s qualification.
