Central Johannesburg TVET College (CJC) allows students to apply for financial assistance through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS). This government-funded bursary scheme was created to support students who meet the requirements but are unable to afford the cost of further education. NSFAS covers tuition and related study expenses for eligible students enrolled in public TVET colleges and universities in South Africa. At CJC, the bursary can be used for a wide range of qualifications such as diplomas, certificates, NCV programmes, Nated courses, occupational training, and even some postgraduate studies.

CJC NSFAS Eligibility Criteria for 2026
- Applicant must be a South African citizen.
- Be a Registered or intend to register for the NCV or NATED (Report 191) Programme
- Students need financial support.
- Students must be academically good students who need financial support.
CJC NSFAS Application Requirement
- Valid cellphone number and email address
- A Copy of an ID or birth certificate
- Valid Identity Document copies of parents, guardians, or spouse
- Proof of income or 1 year’s IRP5 (if applicable)
- Parents, guardians, or spouse’s proof of income
- No proof of income will be required if you are a SASSA grant recipient
- A Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form must be completed and signed by an applicant whose child has been identified as vulnerable by the Department of Social Development.

- Visit www.nsfas.org.za and click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab
- Create a myNSFAS account using a valid email and the required information
- Click on the ‘APPLY’ tab and answer the questions on the screen
- Upload all required supporting documents, then click on ‘submit’
