Application periods for TVET colleges can differ depending on the institution and the academic calendar. Most public TVET colleges in South Africa, for instance, open applications for the first semester between August and November, while others may provide multiple intakes throughout the year. Who is Eligible to enroll in a TVET college?

One advantage of attending a TVET college is the emphasis on student employability, with a requirement for experiential training (internships and apprenticeships) as part of the curriculum, which can help you build experience for your CV.

Students who have completed Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 in high school are admitted to TVET Colleges, which are a part of the higher education system.
Post-graduates from universities can also enroll in TVET College courses to acquire more hands-on training.
